It's OK To Hate The Gym!

Just Don't Let That Stop You
From Working Out

The gym is not for everyone, but that shouldn't stop you from getting fit and living a healthy lifestyle. It's 2012 and there are more ways than ever to get fit without stepping foot into a gym.

Ill be the first to admit that the people you encounter in gyms and fitness clubs can be a little over the top and downright outrageous. All the grunting and spandex and ridiculous looking cutoff shirts and tank tops can definitely be distracting.

For that reason alone is why I say it is OK to hate the gym. Plus the fact that some people are very self conscience when they enter a gym and as soon as they see all the people in great shape they start to think negatively about themselves and their body.

The good thing about all this is there are so many products, programs, and plans that focus on at home fitness and have been proven to work and be very effective.

At home fitness has really come along way in the last decade and is only continuing to improve. You can definitely loss weight and tone your body in the privacy of your home and there is really no reason you shouldn't .

Three things to consider for an at home workout routine:

  1. How much space do you have?
  2. How much money do you want to spend?
  3. How much time do you have?
You can do a lot with very limited space, time, and money. Its all about finding out what will work for you and then planning a routine around it.

On the contrary, you can go nuts with this as well. If you have the space, time, and money you can pretty much create your own gym based around your personal needs.

Whatever your circumstance maybe, at home fitness is really a great way to improve your life and well being. Healthy and fit people tend to be more positive, confident, and overall happier with life and there is absolutely no reason that you can not achieve all of those things and do it from the comfort of your own home.

Good things to start with for at home fitness:
  • Dumbbells - Dumbbells are very versatile and offer a wide range of motion and different workouts.
  • Exercise Mats - You really only need one and they are very affordable and add a needed level of comfort to your workouts.
  • Medicine Balls - Having a few medicine balls around of different weights will really add to the diversity of things you can do for your core workouts.
  • Music Source - Listening to music while working will do wonders for you. Be it an I pad, an I phone or just a good old stereo, music is a must have for at home workouts.
What it really boils down to is how bad do you really want to get into shape and feel confident about your body? If your serious about it and willing to put in the hard work week after week, month after month, the results will show for themselves.

Sometimes you have to make sacrifices, suck it up, and do what you know you need to do. It's not always going to be easy, but it will payoff in the long haul.
